Callender Lake

Callender Lake is a picturesque lake that maintains a constant water level thanks to natural springs and other water sources. It covers an area of 365 acres and has an average depth of 18 feet, making it suitable for fishing and various water sports. The lake is home to a variety of fish species, including bass, catfish, and crappie. It is important to note that no professional guides are allowed on the lake, and there are specific fishing regulations that must be followed.

The amenities around the lake are exclusively available to property owners, their families, and guests. These amenities include a Community Center, Library, Resale Shop, boat storage, boat launch, children's park, fishing piers, and a swim beach/park.

BRING YOUR OWN BOAT

Visitors to Callender Lake are welcome to bring jet skis, sailing boats, pontoon boats, fishing boats, and other small watercraft. However, larger boats are not recommended due to the lake's size and depth.

Callender Lake is a private residential community overseen by the Callender Lake Property Owners Improvement Association (CLPOIA). Access to the lake is limited to property owners and their guests, and entry is only granted through the front gate using leased gate cards provided by CLPOIA. Property owners are required to pay yearly association fees.

FISHING AT CALLENDAR LAKE

The lake is managed by a volunteer committee from the Callender Lake POA, which works in collaboration with the Hickory Hills POA. This committee focuses on lake management and undertakes activities such as adding "Crappie Condos" to the lake each year. These structures are equipped with GPS trackers and are exclusively available to property owners. Additionally, periodic creel studies and other lake management efforts are conducted to ensure the well-being of the lake and its ecosystem.
